Compensation: $76,000 - $112,000 per year | Employment Type: Full-Time/On-Site

Jalilvand Law Corporation (JLC) is seeking a career Paralegal who is enthusiastic about collaborating with a dynamic team of attorneys, case managers, and fellow paralegals. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in business software, and a proactive approach to managing deadlines and tasks. A true team player who understands personal accountability is essential.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate knowledge and hands-on experience in civil litigation, including motion practice, electronic filing of legal pleadings, and trial preparation.

Support attorneys by maintaining files and drafting various legal documents, such as motions, ex parte applications, demand letters, and discovery responses.

Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources, providing written analysis to attorneys.

Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements.

Prepare, organize, and store case files, including evidence, depositions, pleadings, and other related items.

Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including attending trials and hearings.

Develop and maintain records of billable hours spent on specific cases.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of recent civil litigation experience.

Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation trial experience.

Strong working knowledge of personal injury law.

Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written)

Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft/Google, legal software, and typing at least 45 wpm.

Highly organized with the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines, including occasional extended hours.

Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal supervision.

Excellent grammar and communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with a proactive “can-do” attitude.

Ability to receive and implement constructive criticism and take direction effectively.

Team player with the capability to supervise and delegate tasks to support staff.
